John Reuben Davies talks to Australia's ABC radio about William Wallace

by Alice Taylor,

On Sunday, John Reuben Davies gave a 30-minute interview to ABC Radio's 'Nightlife' about the life, times and end of William Wallace, 'commander of the army of Scotland' and 'guardian of Scotland', who, after a series of military victories and defeats against the English, was executed in London in August 1305.

How did Wallace rise to prominence? What was he fighting for and why? Why was he executed so brutally?
